Private Pay Practice

Mended Heart Family Counseling & Trauma Recovery Center is a private-pay practice and does not accept or bill insurance as an in-network provider.

This allows therapy to remain more personalized, flexible, and centered on your clinical needs rather than insurance requirements.

If you have a PPO plan with out-of-network mental health benefits, you may still be eligible to receive reimbursement for a portion of your therapy costs.

Using Out-of-Network Benefits

Out-of-network benefits vary by insurance plan. Depending on your coverage, your plan may reimburse part of the session fee after you meet your out-of-network deductible.

Reimbursement amounts, deductibles, allowable rates, and coverage requirements are determined by your insurance company and are not guaranteed.

I can provide the documentation needed for you to seek reimbursement through your plan.

Out-of-network billing may also be facilitated through Thrizer, when available, to help simplify the claims process.

If you are considering using out-of-network benefits, you may want to ask:

✅ What is my out-of-network deductible, and how much of it has been met?

✅ What percentage or amount does my plan reimburse for out-of-network psychotherapy?

✅ Is reimbursement based on the full session fee or an allowed amount?
